Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Design & Release Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and release of electrical systems and components in our automotive products. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:

    • Develop and design electrical systems and components for automotive applications, including wiring harnesses, electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and actuators.
    • Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
    • Ensure designs meet all relevant safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
  • Testing and Validation:

    • Plan and execute tests to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems.
    • Analyze test data and implement necessary design modifications.
    • Coordinate with the testing team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Project Management:

    • Manage the release process for electrical systems from concept to production.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Technical Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and release notes.
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
  • Supplier Coordination:

    • Work with suppliers to source components and ensure they meet design specifications.
    • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues related to component quality or delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of electrical system development.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive electrical systems and integrate new technologies where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in the design and release of automotive electrical systems.
    • Proven track record of managing projects from concept to production.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar).
    • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, SAE J1939).
    • Experience with electrical simulation tools and testing equipment.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel as needed to support project activities.
    • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electric and hybrid vehicle electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and software integration.
  • Familiarity with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
