Position Description:
The Battery Test Engineer role will focus the efficient delivery of quality assured test data in support of the development and design verification (DV) of the HV Traction Battery Systems. You'll operate across the facility planning test activities, coordinating workflow, and leading problem solving activities to ensure the satisfaction of customer test requests, and ensuring adherence to business safety policies and procedures.
The role will focus on preparing the test facility, test automation routines and test parts for assigned test phases, and on delivering data from planned tests in support of design release activity or technology advancement. You'll have responsibility for providing quality assured data and in supporting customer teams with data analysis and interpretation.

You'll have responsibility for providing quality assured data and in supporting customer teams with data analysis and interpretation.
Skills Required:
- A working knowledge of HV powertrain configuration and energy storage technologies.
- Highly proficient in data analysis and visualisation tools and platforms including AVL Concerto, CANalyzer, Tableau CAN/FlexRay/LIN/Ethernet
- Communication protocols, including use of CANoe and CANalyzer for HV system analysis, diagnostics and test automation
- Educated to a minimum of Degree level in a Systems, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or related field.
- Experience with test automation and data acquisition systems (AVL LYNX, National instruments Lab view, Matlab, Maccor, Arbin, CAPL)
- Experience with CAN communication tools (Vector CANoe/CANape etc)
- Technical expertise and experience of test facility operations and system under test preparation.
- A working knowledge of HV powertrain configuration and energy storage technologies.
- Significant experience with data acquisition and control systems.
- Significant experience of data analysis and reporting of test data.
- Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH and SDS
- The ability to validate, prepare and read engineering documents.
- Computer literate (esp. Microsoft Office competency) to produce plans, reports, presentations, and process documentation.
- A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualifications.
