Main Purpose of the Role
To work within a small Team of Site Maintenance Engineers, supporting the Senior Maintenance Engineer in providing a wide variety of maintenance tasks with an electrical-bias.

Scope of the Role
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer carries out preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment to agreed Plans and Timeframes. They collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams including Procurement and Planning, Finance and Production Operations, to minimise machine down-time and drive continuous improvement.

Primary Objectives:
Electrical Systems Maintenance:
  • Help maintain and ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems, plant, and equipment on site, with a primary focus on the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines.
  • Carry out routine electrical maintenance work and respond to electrical faults or breakdowns promptly, especially for the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines.
  • Help diagnose and troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and faults on the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct electrical inspections on key plant equipment, including the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Preventative Maintenance:
  • Help implement a comprehensive preventative electrical maintenance program for both production equipment and general facilities electrical systems.
  • Carry out preventative electrical maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of key equipment.
Electrical Repairs and Installations:
  • Help resolve electrical emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
  • Install new electrical parts and ensure systems are functioning correctly after repairs, with a focus on critical equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Maintain and promote a safe electrical working environment, following all safety rules and regulations. Help ensure compliance with all legal and company-specific electrical safety standards.
Continuous Monitoring and Improvement:
  • Monitor electrical systems, including general facilities electrical infrastructure, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained across all areas of the site.
  • Help monitor and manage electrical maintenance costs, ensuring efficiency.

Secondary Objectives:
Facilities Electrical Support:
  • Provide general facilities electrical support, including the maintenance and troubleshooting of general electrical and IT-related systems across the site.
  • Support IT infrastructure maintenance, including general electrical systems and network connectivity, where necessary.
Workplace Environment:
  • Promote a clean, tidy, and organised working environment.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Attend shift production meetings when required, providing insights on electrical maintenance needs for the Paint System, Punch and Press Machines, and general facilities systems.
Tool and Resource Management
  • Control electrical maintenance tools, equipment, and stores, including IT-related systems and networks.
Health and Safety Procedures:
  • Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Quality Procedures - ensure adherence to Quality procedures, encouraging continuous improvement and a "right first time, better every time" mindset.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for Role
Appropriate Electrical Engineering HNC or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.

Full time Days
7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday 7am to 1pm Friday
Maintaining a 40hr working week
Flexibility around an evening call out rota is required, call outs will be paid
