Your Profile:
- You will be an experienced and motivated Engineer.
- You may already be working as a sales engineer, business development manager, or as an engineer looking to move into a customer focused commercial role.
- Developing the market for the business measurement and calibration tools. These include CANape, CSM measurement modules, data loggers, VX high speed interfaces, cloud-based solutions and many more.
- Working closely with existing and potential customers to analyse their technical requirements and show why the tools fulfil them.
- Demonstrate the use of our calibration tools and related products.
- Facilitate the usage of our products by promoting engineering services.
- Delivering training, workshops and technical presentations that promote the features and benefits of our products.
- Representing the company at trade shows and events.
- Providing Technical customer support by telephone, email, Teams and on-site.
- Co-ordinating the preparation of detailed proposals with our development engineers to ensure the customer has the correct solution.
- Promoting other tools and solutions from the business where opportunities arise.
Your skills and experience will include:
Essential:
- Engineering degree or technical discipline (Automotive, Electrical or Electronics qualification would be ideal)
- Experience of working in a technical engineering role in the Automotive Industry with OEMs and Tier 1s
- Comfortable at communicating technically on various levels
- Experience with CANape or other automotive calibration tools
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and passionate about a career in a technical and commercial environment
- Self-motivated, self-learning and comfortable working in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a large customer base
- Willingness to travel within the UK, and occasionally within Europe
- Full UK Driving licence
- Understanding of C programming language, and electrical interfaces
- Experience with setting up and using VX1000 high speed interface
- Experience with using and configuring loggers
- Familiar with In-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and Automotive Ethernet
- General understanding of embedded control systems
- Experience with automotive actuators, sensors, instrumentation and measurement equipment
- Understanding or working knowledge MATLAB® and Simulink®
- Understanding of Windows Operating Systems and Network Settings
