Materials Engineering and Product Sustainability are a multi-discipline department providing a specialist technical leadership and consultancy service to the whole business. Teams within the department comprise of Metals and Corrosion, Paints and Adhesives, Product Sustainability, Plastics and Coatings, VIAQ, Analytical and Hazardous Materials, Soft Trim, CAE Core Structural Mechanics, Fastener Engineering, Perceived Quality-Materials and Materials Characterisation.
This role will be within the Metals and Corrosion Team with an emphasis on laboratory metallurgical analysis of sheet steel, sheet aluminium, cast, extruded and forged metals. The engineer will support all aspects of the materials engineering metallurgy section, including investigation of quality technical issues, materials characterisation, validation and analysis.

This role is to provide general support and to lead projects and their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. This role will involve stakeholder management, setting tasks out for others to complete in a timely manner. Typically, this will involve the identification; planning and coordination of specific projects within Early Operations Delivery. This role will act as a central point of co-ordination to deliver the Commodity Plan Library / Critical Path project.

This role will support the roll out and continued delivery of the new Issue Management toolset across the entire user base. Typically, this will involve the planning, co-ordination and implementation of specific workstreams within the project remit ensuring all is communicated effectively to the user base.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Delivery of workstreams within the project based on highest priority needs
Working with key stakeholders and userbase feedback requests to make impactful toolset updates
Act as a key support contact for the entire user base to direct or solve any issues they may have
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external users.
Develop and maintain communication strategies to both key stakeholders and wider user base
Create, deploy and maintain process documents based on new toolsets and agile methodology
Use lean project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working
Key Performance Indicators:
Transition from legacy issue management system and processes for all Programmes and relevant users across the Toolset continual updates to improve the user experience and maintain compliance, managing corporate documents procedures.
